Northern Osage County in east central Kansas…
Shawnee County in east central Kansas…
Northeastern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas…
* Until 630 AM CDT.
* At 235 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, and additional
rainfall is expected.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Topeka, Lawrence, Baldwin City, Carbondale, Tecumseh, Eudora,
Richland, Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn, Overbrook, Scranton,
Lecompton, Maple Hill, Clinton, Lone Star, Willard, Pleasant
Grove, Berryton and Pauline.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
