…Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Jefferson, Shawnee,
northern Douglas and southern Jackson Counties through 930 AM CDT…
At 854 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Delia to near Meriden to 3 miles northeast
of Easton. Movement was south at 50 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Topeka, Lawrence, Valley Falls, Rossville, Oskaloosa, Tecumseh,
Richland, Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn, Perry, McLouth, Meriden, Hoyt,
Ozawkie, Lecompton, Clinton, Winchester, Delia and Willard.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 346 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 166 and 205.
