Special Weather Statement issued November 10 at 4:27PM CST by NWS Topeka
…A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Shawnee, southeastern Wabaunsee, northern Osage and northeastern Lyon
Counties through 500 PM CST…
At 426 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles southeast of Harveyville, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Southeastern Topeka, Osage City, Carbondale, Richland, Auburn,
Overbrook, Burlingame, Scranton, Harveyville, Pauline and Berryton.
This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 148 and 172, and
between mile markers 184 and 188.
MAX HAIL SIZE…0.50 IN
MAX WIND GUST…40 MPH

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CST for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
