…Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern
Jefferson, Shawnee, southeastern Wabaunsee, Osage and northeastern
Lyon Counties through 615 PM CST…
At 543 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles south of Hoyt to near Harveyville.
Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Topeka, Osage City, Carbondale, Tecumseh, Richland, Silver Lake,
Auburn, Overbrook, Lyndon, Burlingame, Meriden, Scranton,
Harveyville, Pauline, Perry Lake, Grantville and Berryton.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 349 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 145 and 188.
