PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — One person was killed Friday afternoon in a crash at 75h and Roe that police say happened while a driver was speeding away from police.
The crash happened at about 1:05 p.m. and involved four cars. Police said one driver was traveling east on 75th Street and was speeding. When an officer in the area began to follow the car, the driver reportedly sped up.
The officer said when he came over a hill, he saw the four cars involved in the accident. According to police, the driver who was speeding tried to run from the scene, but was stopped and arrested.
Two other people involved suffered minor injuries.
