Marty L. Warriner

Marty Lee Warriner, 42, Oskaloosa, died Jan. 16, 2012, in a one-vehicle accident south of Oskaloosa.

He was born March 21, 1969, at Red Cloud, Neb., the son of Edward Arthur and Carla Jean Stevens Warriner. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1987.

He served in the U.S. Marines from 1987 to 1988. He worked for nearly 12 years as a heavy equipment operator for Bottorff Construction Company, Atchison. He was a member of the Cowboy Calvary Church, Williamstown.

He married Christie Chartier. They divorced. He married Paula Farmer Sept. 12, 2009, at Oskaloosa. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Tobin Warriner, currently serving in the U.S. military stationed in Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Karleigh Warriner, of the home, and Megan Besette, Atchison; a step-daughter, Desirae Wolford, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Michael Warriner, Effingham, and Matthew Warriner, Kansas City, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jacob T. Warriner, July 18, 2009.

Funeral services were Jan. 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Parish, Lancaster. Burial was at the Lancaster Cemetery.
