Instead, an accident changed Kate Fawl’s life forever, stealing her husband and son in an instant.
Mike Fawl and the Fawls’ 5-year-old son, Hunter, were fatally injured in a skid loader accident on June 14, 2011, when the piece of equipment he was driving on the driveway of their home near Lake Perry in Jefferson County tipped over, throwing both into the path of the skid loader, Fawl said. Hunter died instantly, and Mike died in an ambulance on the way to Topeka, she said.
