Ness County Fire District #2 (NCFD #2) hosted a National Incident Management System, NIMS, IS-200 class in Bazine, Monday evening. The training was well attended by members of multiple agencies, including Alexander Fire Department, City of Bazine, City of Ness City, Central Rush County Emergency Medical Services, McCracken Fire Department, Ness County Emergency Management, Ness County Emergency Services, Ness County Fire District #1, Ness County Health Department, Rush County Emergency Management, Rush County Noxious Weed Department.
Thanks to all of you for dedicating your time to your community and for attending this class. A big thank you to Stan Erb, NCFD #2 Chief, for his help with organizing and for hosting this Federal Emergency Management Institute’s (FEMA) course. A special shout out to Melody Saxton for taking the time to come to Bazine and instruct this course.
IS-200: Incident Command for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents is designed to enable responders and personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident. Command System (ICS) ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.
