Former presidential candidate Rick Perry will anchor the Kansas Republican Party’s convention in February.
The GOP gathering in Overland Park will feature a fund-raising reception and speech with Perry, the Texas governor who dropped out of the 2012 Republican primary.
He was endorsed by Gov. Sam Brownback, who ran himself for president in 2007 while serving in the U.S. Senate.
Perry will be at the state convention Feb. 16. A rally Feb. 17 will be led by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who also has been mentioned as a future presidential candidate.
