Southwest Kansas Northwest Oklahoma * HAZARDS... Widespread damaging winds, some hurricane force A couple of tornadoes Widespread large hail, some baseball size * SUMMARY... Numerous severe storms are expected across the Plains, especially across southern/eastern Nebraska, western Iowa, and portions of Kansas and Oklahoma late this afternoon and tonight. Very large hail, intense damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes will be possible. Preparedness actions... Review your severe weather safety procedures for the possibility of dangerous weather today. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, weather.gov, or other media for watches and warnings.
