20DEC2011 Weather

The surface temperatures held above freezing overnight, which saved us from a bad commute this morning. I am expecting the temperature to stay above freezing until later this afternoon. If I had to put a time on it I would say around 5pm or so. This light moisture should stick around until 9pm or so. This should give us a little snow early this evening. I do not expect a major event, just more of a nuisance. There is a potential for this to impact the drive home, so once again use caution.

My focus now shifts to this weekend and Christmas travel forecast. There is another chance of snow in the forecast for Thursday and it is looking like the rest of the holiday weekend should be free of snow.

I will give a report on my thoughts for Thursday in a separate post.

Below is the predominant weather graphic from the NWS for 6pm tonight.
