KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City District, Corps of Engineers announced today that all boat ramps have been temporarily closed along with many roadways and campsites at Perry Lake in Kansas. The corps said that at 907.29 feet msl the current water level is nearly 16 feet above normal. With the water at this level, many roadways and campsites have been submerged and the courtesy docks are out of the water, said the corps. The corps’ priority is safety and has erected barricades in areas around the lake to protect the public and, cautions that those who drive around them will be fined.
