...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR SMALL PARTS OF
   NORTHEAST KS AND CENTRAL NE...

   ...SUMMARY...
Isolated severe thunderstorms remain possible this evening, with a
threat of locally damaging wind and a brief tornado.

   ...Central Plains...
Occasional rotating storms have been noted across portions of
Nebraska and Kansas early this evening, though convection has
struggled to maintain severe intensity. Veering wind profiles noted
on the 00Z OAX/TOP soundings and recent KUEX VWP will continue to
support some rotation with the strongest storms into mid evening,
though very warm temperatures aloft and weak midlevel lapse rates
will continue to dampen storm intensity. Locally damaging wind and a
brief tornado or two remain possible in the short term before the
threat begins to substantially wane later tonight. See MCD 1686 and
1687 for more information on the threat in this area.

   ...Northern UT...Southeast ID...WY...
Clusters of thunderstorms will continue this evening from near Salt
Lake City northeastward into parts of WY. MUCAPE 500-1000 J/kg and
effective shear of 25-30 kt (as noted on the 00Z SLC sounding) will
continue to favor some storm organization, with locally damaging
wind gusts and perhaps some hail possible into mid/late evening.
