URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 576 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1050 PM CST Tue Nov 29 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Western and central Alabama Southeast Mississippi * Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 1050 PM until 600 AM CST. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Scattered supercells will persist for a few more hours from southeast Mississippi into western/central Alabama, with an attendant threat for a few tornadoes (a couple of which could be strong), in addition to damaging gusts and isolated large hail. Otherwise, the gradual evolution of a line of storms is expected along a cold front overnight, with damaging gusts and a couple of tornadoes the main concerns. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles northwest of Birmingham AL to 45 miles east southeast of Pine Belt MS.
