SEL8 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 538 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1025 PM CDT Tue Oct 26 2021 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of South Central Kansas Central Oklahoma * Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 1025 PM until 500 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Lines of strong to severe thunderstorms will track across the watch area overnight, with the potential for damaging winds and hail in the strongest cells. An isolated tornado spin-up or two is also possible along the leading edge of these storms. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles northeast of Hutchinson KS to 30 miles west southwest of Durant OK.
