KDOT work begins on US-24 project

Drivers using U.S. Highway 24 from Grantville to Junction City should expect minor delays for the next few weeks.

The Kansas Department of Transportation on Monday began a pavement reconstruction project on a 5.3-mile section of the highway, according to a media release from the department. The section stretches from Grantville to just east of the K-234 junction in Jefferson City.

Monday through Friday, eastbound and westbound US-24 traffic will have varying lane closures in preparation for the closure of the eastbound US-24 lanes on June 25.
