Valley Falls Unified School District 338 students and staff members will present its Fifth annual Veterans Day Program at 2 p.m. Friday at the high school, according to information supplied by the school district.
A reception for veterans and guests will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Commons area.
Highlights of the program include the posting of the colors by the Kansas Army National Guard; recognition of veterans; a special presentation to honor Lt. Quentin Hurst, a Valley Falls native who died in the Vietnam War; and musical performances.
