The Jayhawk Area Council Boy Scouts of America on Thursday accepted a truck donated by Westar Energy.
The truck, a white, two-door Chevy Silverado, will be used at the Falley Scout Reservation, the council’s summer camping facility located in Oskaloosa.
“Its primary purpose will be fore camp maintenance and transporting camping and program equipment,” said Wayne R. Pancoast, scout executive for Boys Scouts of America Jayhawk Area Council. “It will also serve as a backup vehicle for the camp ranger.”
