The weather is about to get a little interesting in Kansas this afternoon. A strong surface low is slowly working it’s way across the state and it is pulling plenty of moisture from the gulf with it. Below is the National weather map from the NWS.
Storms are currently starting to form North of the surface low and I am expecing storm to form East and South of the later this afternoon and into evening. Below is a snap shot from an experimental composite model for 7pm from the NWS.
In addition these storms will be moving North and North-Northwest this afternoon and evening. This will change the direction that these storms approach from the Southwest to due South.
