Latest satellite imagery suggests low-latitude short-wave trough is progressing across the southern FL Peninsula early this evening. The majority of deep convection is noted ahead of this feature and the strongest updrafts are advancing toward the southern FL Atlantic Coast. This activity will propagate offshore over the next few hours. 00z sounding from MFL exhibited modest buoyancy with around 1000 J/kg MLCAPE and roughly 40kt surface-6km bulk shear.
