SUMMARY...The tornado threat is increasing and a tornado watch will
be needed soon.
DISCUSSION...Dewpoints have increased into the 70s F at several
observation sites in the last 15 to 30 minutes as the winds have
shifted more easterly. As a result, MLCAPE has increased to 500 J/kg
along the coast (per SPC mesoanalysis) and the threat has increased
for rotating storms offshore to proceed inland. A tornado watch will
be issued within the next 15 minutes.
