Areas affected...northern and western Arkansas/southern Missouri

Concerning...Tornado Watch 33...

Valid 062332Z - 070100Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 33 continues.

SUMMARY...Severe/tornado risk continues within Tornado Watch 33.

DISCUSSION...Recent surface analysis locates a developing low over
far northwest Arkansas, with surface winds across the northwestern
quarter of Arkansas remaining backed/east-southeasterly in response.
As a southerly low-level jet increases over the next few hours,
with the flow then veering to southwesterly and increasing further
through mid levels, increasingly favorable shear will prevail this
evening across the WW area.

At this time, a supercell with classic reflectivity characteristics
per the KLZK WSR-88D is moving northeastward at 35 kt across Pope
County in northwest Arkansas. This storm appears to be producing
severe-caliber hail, and a tornado has just been reported by
spotters. Elsewhere, a few weakly rotating updrafts have been
transiently observed, and expect additional development --
particularly across the western half of the watch -- over the next
couple of hours.
