Areas affected...western FL Panhandle...far southern AL

Concerning...Tornado Watch 82...

Valid 310451Z - 310645Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 82 continues.

SUMMARY...The risk for damaging gusts will continue with a squall
line as it moves east along the Gulf Coast. A QLCS tornado is also
possible, especially in occluded portions of a bowing segment.

DISCUSSION...Convective structure is transitioning upscale from a
mix of embedded supercell and QLCS structure to primarily uniform
QLCS structure over southwest/far southern AL. Surface observations
show low to mid 70s temperatures with upper 60s deg F dewpoints.
Very strong low-level and deep-layer shear is evident in area 88D
VADs. Buoyancy will be greatest near the coast in proximity to the
richer low-level moisture. Given the combination of adequate
buoyancy (MLCAPE 500-1500 J/kg) and strong shear, a severe risk will
continue with an organized squall line across the western part of
the FL Panhandle northward into far southern AL. Damaging gusts
appear to be the primary hazard but a brief QLCS tornado could occur
given the low-level moisture/shear setup.
