NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK

Areas affected...portions of southeastern Mississippi and into
southern Alabama

Concerning...Tornado Watch 112...

Valid 031222Z - 031345Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 112 continues.

SUMMARY...Local severe risk continues across portions of the WW
area.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows a cluster of ongoing storms
across roughly the northern half of the watch, and extending
northward across central Alabama. The strongest storms remain on
the southern fringe of the broader area of convection, near the
surface warm front lying west-northwest to east-southeast across
southeastern Mississippi and southern Alabama.

Storms have diminished somewhat in organization/intensity over the
past 1 to 2 hours, but local risk for severe weather remains.
Greatest risk at this time appears to be locally damaging winds with
small/transient bowing features, but marginal hail and/or a brief
tornado also remain possible. Expect trends to be steady-state, or
slightly downward, over the next 1 to 2 hours.
