The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  South Texas
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Sunday morning and afternoon from 450 AM until
  200 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 80 mph possible
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Initial supercell thunderstorms will pose a risk for large
hail and damaging gusts early this morning. Storms are then expected
to develop into a bowing line of convection tracking east/southeast
through midday with an attendant risk for swaths of damaging gusts
across south Texas.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 110
statute miles east and west of a line from 50 miles north northeast
of Cotulla TX to 105 miles south of Corpus Christi TX. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
