URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 180 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 345 PM CDT Fri Apr 28 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southeast Texas * Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 345 PM until 1000 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Consolidating storms along a cold front will surge southeastward through late evening toward the College Station area, with an attendant threat for damaging gusts of 60-75 mph and large hail of 1-2 inches in diameter. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north of College Station TX to 55 miles south southeast of New Braunfels TX.
