URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 186 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 455 PM CDT Thu May 4 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of West Central Texas * Effective this Thursday afternoon from 455 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter likely Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will slowly intensify this afternoon and evening along a diffuse dryline over west central Texas. The strongest cells will pose a risk of large hail and damaging wind gusts as they track eastward. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north northwest of Mineral Wells TX to 30 miles south southeast of Del Rio TX.
