URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 193 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 940 PM CDT Sat May 6 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and North Texas * Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 940 PM until 400 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Scattered severe storms will continue to occur with large hail expected with the most intense storms. Additionally, damaging wind potential may increase this evening toward the I-35 corridor of central/north Texas. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles west northwest of Paris TX to 70 miles west southwest of Corsicana TX.
