URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 209 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 635 PM MDT Wed May 10 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of The southwest Nebraska Panhandle * Effective this Wednesday night from 635 PM until Midnight MDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Clusters of storms, including supercells, will spread northward from northeast Colorado into the southwest Nebraska Panhandle this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail and damaging gusts, as well as an isolated tornado or two with favorable storm interactions. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles southwest of Scottsbluff NE to 35 miles north northeast of Sidney NE.
