The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Western north Texas

* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 805 PM
  until 200 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...An extensive line of storms will persist into the
overnight hours while spreading east-southeastward, with the primary
threats of occasional damaging winds of 60-70 mph and large hail of
1-1.5 inches in diameter.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45
statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north of Mineral
Wells TX to 15 miles southwest of Stephenville TX. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
