URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 243 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1100 PM CDT Fri May 26 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Extreme eastern New Mexico Western parts of Texas South Plains * Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 1100 PM until 400 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Isolated to widely scattered supercells linger across this region, with additional development possible mainly along and north of an outflow boundary over the southern parts of the watch. Large hail and a few severe gusts are the main concerns. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles south southeast of Hobbs NM to 35 miles northeast of Cannon Afb NM.
