The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northeast Colorado
Northwest Kansas
Southwest Nebraska
* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 730 PM
until 100 AM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are increasing in coverage and intensity
this evening across the watch area. This activity will likely
persist for several hours, posing a risk of large hail and locally
damaging wind gusts.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 95
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles northeast of
Sidney NE to 15 miles southeast of Goodland KS. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
