URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 507 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 130 PM EDT Fri Jul 29 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern Maryland Southern and eastern Virginia Coastal Waters * Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 130 PM until 800 PM EDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely SUMMARY...Initial cluster in central Virginia should pose the primary threat for damaging winds as it spreads east towards the southern Delmarva Peninsula. An additional cluster may form across southwest Virginia and spread towards southeast Virginia as well. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles east and west of a line from 15 miles northeast of Patuxent River MD to 25 miles west of South Hill VA.
