The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northern Wisconsin
* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 805 PM
until 200 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
to 75 mph possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are intensifying over northern Wisconsin.
This activity is expected to grow in coverage and spread across the
watch area through the late evening, posing a risk of damaging wind
gusts and hail. An isolated tornado or two is also possible.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 95 miles northwest of
Eau Claire WI to 30 miles northeast of Wausau WI. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
