URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 55 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 525 PM CDT Mon Mar 21 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of South-central and Southeastern Oklahoma * Effective this Monday afternoon from 525 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Increasing coverage of strong-severe thunderstorms is expected north of a warm front, with large hail and isolated damaging wind the main concerns. A tornado cannot be ruled out near the Red River, within the warm-frontal air-mass transition zone. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles north and south of a line from 10 miles north of Ardmore OK to 140 miles east of Ardmore OK.
