The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Eastern Arkansas
  Missouri Bootheel
  Northern Mississippi
  Western Tennessee

* Effective this Monday morning from 105 AM until 700 AM CST.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Semi-discrete storms have developed across southern
Arkansas, and these storms should continue to develop northeastward
overnight across eastern Arkansas toward western Tennessee, where
low-level shear/SRH is increasingly strong. Additional bands of
storms will continue to impact areas farther north with at least an
isolated damaging wind/some tornado risk.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles
east and west of a line from 30 miles south southwest of Monticello
AR to 35 miles north northeast of Dyersburg TN. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

surface and aloft to 1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 500. Mean
