URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 43 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 330 AM EST Sat Mar 12 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Central and northern Florida Southeastern Georgia Coastal Waters * Effective this Saturday morning from 330 AM until 1100 AM EST. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...An existing area of thunderstorms over northwestern FL and southern GA may contain isolated/embedded supercells in the near term. This activity is expected to reorient and reorganize, with a line of strong-severe thunderstorms developing over the Gulf and northwestern FL. The resulting convective system should sweep eastward into and across much of the watch area by mid/late morning, offering damaging wind and the threat of a few tornadoes. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles south southeast of Saint Petersburg FL to 30 miles north northwest of Brunswick GA.
