URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 51 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 730 AM CDT Fri Mar 18 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Southern Alabama Western Florida Panhandle Coastal Waters * Effective this Friday morning and afternoon from 730 AM until 200 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... A couple intense tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A couple supercells may emanate out of pre-frontal confluence bands in southwest Alabama. Otherwise, a linear cluster should develop east. Tornadoes and damaging winds are the main hazards. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles north northeast of Evergreen AL to 35 miles southwest of Pensacola FL.
