The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Southwestern Arkansas
  Northwestern Louisiana
  East Texas

* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 810 PM
  until 300 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter likely

SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms -- in the form of supercells and
quasi-linear convective elements -- will move into the region from
tornado watch 54 this evening an tonight.  The threat for tornadoes,
damaging gusts and large hail will continue well into the overnight
hours.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles
east and west of a line from 30 miles south southeast of Huntsville
TX to 40 miles north of Texarkana AR. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
