The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Western to northeast Louisiana
  Far southeast Texas
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Tuesday morning and afternoon from 705 AM until
  200 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 75 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...A slowly intensifying QLCS in southeast Texas should
accelerate northeast across southwest to northeast Louisiana. A
couple supercells may develop ahead of the squall line as well. The
threat for tornadoes and damaging winds should increase by late
morning and persist into the afternoon.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles
north and south of a line from 35 miles north of Natchez MS to 25
miles northwest of Port Arthur TX. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

watch number 59. Watch number 59 will not be in effect after 705

AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
surface and aloft to 1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
gusts to 65 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 500. Mean
