SEL2 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 412 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 400 PM CDT Sat Aug 7 2021 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Extreme east central and southeastern Colorado Western Kansas The Oklahoma Panhandle The northern Texas Panhandle * Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 400 PM until 900 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...High-based thunderstorm development is underway along and ahead of a cold front moving southeastward across eastern Colorado. The storm environment ahead of the front will favor a mix of supercells and multicell clusters capable of producing severe outflow winds up to 75 mph, as well as isolated large hail of 1 to 2 inch diameter through this evening. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles west southwest of Borger TX to 85 miles north of Garden City KS.
