Two volunteers with the United Way’s Nancy Perry Day of Caring were injured Friday morning when they were hit by a car that careened out of control after being struck by another vehicle on the city’s west side.
Police Lt. Jack Mackey said the accident occurred about 9:55 a.m. at the intersection of S.W. 21st and Morningside.
Mackey said a red Chevrolet Aveo that was eastbound on S.W. 21st was struck by a blue car of unknown make that was westbound on S.W. 21st and attempting to turn south onto S.W. Morningside.
