For a short time shortly after 1 p.m. Monday, law officers, Anthony Fire units and a Harper County Ambulance searched for a wreck with injuries in the Bluff City area.

One of the victims of the wreck called the Harper County 911 Center and passed out after only saying that they had driven through Bluff City and had wrecked on a dirt road near Bluff City.

Four Sheriff’s Office units and two Anthony Fire Department units as well as one ambulance started looking in different directions of Bluff City.

Since it papered early on that there would be more than one serious injury (the caller told the 911 call taker that one person was not responsive before passing out and indicted that another might have been ejected, an ambulance was called out of Caldwell as well as the Eagle Med Helicopter.

At the time of the wreck, the second Harper County ambulance on duty was on a routine transfer of a patient to Wichita.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol wreck report, the one vehicle accident happened nine miles east and four miles south of Anthony on SE 40th Road.

The report says that Joshua Adam Christy, 28, of Belle Plaine, Kansas was east bound in a 2012 Dodge on SE 40th Road, the driver drove into the ditch and then over corrected, struck a sign and the vehicle came to rest in the ditch.

Christy was taken to a Wichita hospital by helicopter.

A passenger, Brandi Nicole Roets, 26, of Wichita was found on the floorboard of the back seat of the vehicle.
