Business Watch: Royalty Roofing expands to Topeka

Chris Starr has worked in the construction industry long enough to know that contractors don’t always do a good job of communicating with their customers.

“Probably the worst thing in the construction industry is the customer service,” said Starr, a Meriden native. “You don’t get called back, you don’t get followed up with, nobody ever tells you where they’re at (on your job). People just want to know. They realize you have three weeks before you get on it, but they want to know it is going to happen in three weeks. You’ve got to call them.”
