Sue Days’ daughters are keeping their mother’s name alive with the opening of an education and resource center on the second floor of St. Francis Health Center.
The Sue Days Cancer Resource Center opened to the public on Thursday morning. A small group gathered to listen to Days’ daughter, Joan Shearer, of Kansas City, Kan., speak and to tour the center.
“My mother would be very proud,” Shearer said before cutting the ribbon to open the center. “It’s wonderful to see her name associated with this.”
