MTAA crews responded to Building 681 at Forbes Field Tuesday after construction crews ruptured a gas line.

Crews were digging a hole for a water line when they hit a gas pipe around 9:30 along an access road.

Officials on scene told 13 News that crews were still working to find a shutoff valve around 10:45 a.m.

Multiple fire trucks and Kansas Gas Service vehicles were on scene Tuesday morning.

No injuries were immediately reported, and about 25 people were evacuated from two buildings during the incident.
