Ottawa firefighters and police found an unoccupied Jeep Cherokee fully engulfed in flames early Saturday morning in the 200 block of West Fifth Street.
The suspicious blaze, which broke out around 6:20 a.m., spread from the Cherokee to a nearby privacy fence, according to an Ottawa Fire Department report.
The Cherokee was a total loss and damage to the fence was estimated at $300, Jeff Carner, Ottawa Fire Chief, said.
The cause of the blaze was undetermined, fire and police representatives said Monday.
A police report indicated the possible arson fire remains under investigation.
