Two men walked away from a fiery crash in Reno County.
It happened about 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon on Blanchard and Broadacres Avenue.
The Reno County Sheriff’s Department said the driver of the southbound semi , was struck by a eastbound farm tractor, after pulling out from a stop sign.
A 911 Reno County Dispatcher said the tractor was “fully engulfed.” Firefighters arrived to put out the fire. The driver of the tractor, John Yoder Jr, was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the semi, Jerry Hardison of Maysville, N.C., was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. He was cited for failure to yield to the right of way.
