Two Harper Fire Department units responded to a mutual aid call to Attica early Thursday morning to a house fire which Attica Fire Department had out upon Harper’s arrival.
A house on the southwest corner of 160 highway and Miller Street had a fire in the kitchen about 1:30 a.m. apparently started from food on top of a stove. The fire damage was held to the ceiling and walls adjacent to the stove.
Harper firefighters checked the area with a thermal imaging camera to see that the fire was out and returned back to Harper.
The home is a rental owned by R&B Oil Co.
