Two people were taken to a hospital by ambulance Monday afternoon after an accident on US-24 highway.
The Kansas Highway Patrol, Topeka Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to N.E. US-24 and Meriden Road just after 2:40 p.m. on a report of an accident involving a moped and a van.
Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper TJ Wahlmeier said the male driver of the orange moped, which was attempting to turn onto US-24 from N.E. Meriden, apparently failed to yield to a black SUV that was eastbound on US-24.
